Unichem and Life Pharmacy Prescription Free Waiver

Unichem and Life Pharmacy Prescription Free Waiver

If you or someone close to you has been affected by the impact of Cyclone Gabrielle, our thoughts are with you. We wanted to provide you with some important information about your health and accessing your prescriptions during this challenging time.

Your local Unichem and Life Pharmacy is here to provide you with the care and advice for your health and medical needs.

Do you have a prescription that needs filling? We are pleased to advise that the $5 Government medicine co-payment charge that is usually charged on prescription medicine is being waived from today until the 19 March 2023.  The waiving of the Government tax is for customers who reside (or usually reside) in the Hawke’s Bay, Tairāwhiti and Northland districts.

If you are not currently living at your normal address due to the Cyclone, and are residing outside of the region, you are still eligible to have the $5 Government medicine co-payment charge waived.  Just let our pharmacist know that you are currently living away from your usual address.

The fee waiver applies for all prescriptions presented from 20 February 2023.

Unichem and Life Pharmacy is here to help you.  At challenging times like this, with different living arrangements, water restrictions, and limited or no access to your own medicine cabinet, various medical conditions can arise.  A pharmacist is a good person to talk to about your medical and health needs and our pharmacists would be only too pleased to assist you, so please reach out for advice if you need it.

Once again, our thoughts are with all those affected by the events of the last week.

We are here for you.
